Everyone knows what a tribble is. "Cyrano Jones Says a tribble is the only love money can buy."
Tribbles were furry, lovable creatures from a 1967 episode of STAR TREK. That old episode was revisited in 1996 by cast members of the STAR TREK DEEP SPACE NINE sequel series via special effects.

"Trials and Tribble-ations" had the 1990s DS9 cast donning velour shirts and time-traveling to the earlier TREK era of Kirk, Spock and McCoy. The actors were composited into shots from the well-known TOS episode and are seen, for instance, to be seen looking on in the background as Shatner and Nimoy have an exchange.
The DS9 episode's emphasis was on the cast members of that show. But now, in a time when you can mash-up anything, here's kind of an equal-time-to-both shows remix.
Now, a fan (trekandwhofan)has edited the 2 episodes together into a seamless hour, with both episodes playing out (more or less, salt over the shoulder) in real temporal time.

One disappointment: the fan edit keeps the bar fight music from DS9, composed by Dennis McCarthy, which was not as rollicking as Jerry Fielding's original episode score. A loss.
